I spent sometime with Manx Radio at the beginning of February to talk my story, diabetes and professional cycling but moreover the amazing work that the parents of kids with type one diabetes are doing on the Isle of Man.
'Monitors4Kids' is a fundraising mission, founded in 2018 by local parents, to raise money for life changing continuous blood monitors (CGM's) for the Under 16 type 1 diabetics on the Island. The group aim to raise £120,000 over two years to fund all of the kids with the monitors. This is something I am so proud to be not only an ambassador for but to be part of.
These parents do so much to change the lives of their children.
